Hustle INK – 5” x 3.5” x 4.5”
When I heard Brand Manager Chris Schlemer initially tell us that the INK would be sooner and smoother overall because of the solid cover, even despite being shiny - that had me excited!! My trusty Hustle PRO was a staple in my bag on shorter patterns and lanes that had turned to junk from traffic. It was clean enough to get through the front, but not too jumpy that I had to get my angles too steep. It was just a predictable ball that gave me exactly what I asked for when the lanes get tricky due to wear. I received a short pin on this ball so I decided to go with one of my favorite layouts to accentuate it’s design intent. I don’t know if it was the pattern I was bowling on or what, but this ball had a very pronounced “crack” when it hit the pins - so much so that I had someone come over and tell me “that ball just sounds different”. You wouldn’t think an HP-1 ball would have that kind of hitting power, but it’s the real deal for short and drying lanes.
