I have always bought Roto Grip products and since the Wrecker has been released, I've bought that ball over 5 times. There is a reason why it is still on the HP2 line. It's the best symmetrical bowling ball by Roto Grip!
297 on the way to a 779 series out of the box...
Date: 2.9.2017 Bowler: Larry Keel Location: Huntsville, Alabama Pro Shop: McCorvey's Pro Shop / Chris Hayes
Started the night with a 214 game and followed it up with 268 game. Then I started with 11 in a row the last game and got 7 on the fill for 297 to shoot
""I have been throwing Storm and Roto Grip equipment exclusively over the last few years. Earlier this year I came to the conclusion that I needed a ball for lanes that were a bit drier. I decided on the Wrecker because of everything I have read and heard about the ball not really overreacting on a medium drier pattern. Little did I know that on this night I would start with 214(8 strikes), then shoot 268,(9 strikes), then conclude the night with the front 11 and then get 7 for 297. 28 strikes out of 36 frames. That's pretty good for a guy who over the last few years has only been able to bowl one night a week, and that was drilled out of the box, and that was the first night I used it in league play. The products you make are just fantastic, and the hitting power is relentless. Keep up the good work.

"I tried the Wrecker in the fill ball of the first game and had a better reaction so I decided to stick with it and it was the right move. The Wrecker is my most versatile ball that I can throw on many conditions. "

I bowled my 4th sanctioned 300 with yet another Roto Grip Ball! This time it was the Wrecker. I had been wanting a Wrecker for a while now and had a chance to by one used. Great Ball!!! This is one of the few balls I can get to carry the 10 from Deep inside(righty). I will definitely be buying another Wrecker before they are discontinued. Great Job Roto Grip!!!

I never leave the house without my old friend the Wrecker. One of the best Mid Line balls ever made. This Wrecker as the picture shows has the pin drilled out of the middle finger.
Makes the ball smooth and predictable for my medium plus speed. This night 256-289-256=801. On the same pair and same team my teammate Tony Woollis used the Devour for 822. This was during Thunderbird 5-man team League action.

One of my favorite balls of all time came back out of the bag and proved why I carry it all the time. This Wrecker is drilled with the pin removed by the ring finger no weight hole. This ball is real smooth up front but out of my hand is a smooth continuous motion. This night it produced games 266-299-279-847
I believe I will keep it.
"I can always count on the Wrecker plus it looks good going down the lane.

Howard Marshall did not get much practice as he ran in from work. Are we talking about practice? When the lights came, a 13 bagger was stopped by a 7 pin but the lefty went ahead and finished out with the last 10 game two. Sitting on 300 & 280 gave him a chance to break the house record. Unfortunately his carry started acting funny but it did not stop him from shooting 814.

300 Game - Summer Monte Carlo league at Davis Lanes in Layton, Utah.
"I got my Wrecker in April 2014. It has proven all summer that it's the right ball for my game and lane conditions. Tonight I hit the jackpot with a 300 in the second game. If you're rolling over second arrow at around 14.5 MPH and need a little something to help with those pesky corner pins, get a Wrecker! The backend snap is forceful, predictable and controllable.
Thank you RotoGrip for a great ball. My first RG, but not my last!"

My name is Mike Kelly, I am the Bettendorf High School Head Boy's Bowling Coach in Bettendorf, Iowa. My daughter Michaela is a junior on the Girl's team that my wife Karma coaches. Last month we purchased a new Wrecker for Michaela and myself, both 16#. Yesterday (1/11/14) during her Saturday morning league she rolled a 214, 300 and 216 with the Wrecker. This was her first 300. Her high school average is 211. It was amazing to see our daughter roll a perfect game!!
Fast forward a few hours to Saturday evening adult mixed league. I started the night with a very unimpressive 166 game with 3 splits, made a couple adjustments and finished the night with 268, 300! This was my 2nd career 300. I certainly didn't want to upstage my daughter, but thought it was pretty neat have each of us roll a perfect game on the same day using the same brand/model.
"I have rolled Storm products for many years and decided to try the Roto Grip Wrecker as I have heard many great things this season. For Michaela and I, we will keep rolling this ball!!

Bowled a 300 in first game of a 761 despite having trouble in practice on left lane.(kept going through the nose despite keeping moving left) Started out first game somewhat blind on left lane but I was 7 boards left of my right lane start point and that was obviously the right choice.
"This ball is by far the BEST ball i have EVER thrown;and i have thrown many balls. With a new type drilling i have been able to throw this ball WELL on league, nationals,Pba type and sport type oil patterns!!!"

I am just 15 years old, represented my state twice, have 5 300's and my latest with a Rotogrip. This stuff is amazing, and the versatility that you get with some, if not all of the equipment is amazing. Even the way the bowling balls roll, is enough to gather a crowd of social bowlers behind you. I can safely say right now, that after throwing equipment with this much game, I am never going back.

Just drilled a Wrecker last night. Threw it in league for the first time 204, 300, 269. I'm a power tweener, about 380-400 rpm, PAP 5 1/2 over and 1/2 up. Ball is drilled 75 x 4.5 x 75. Reaction is crazy good. Picks up in the midlane but saves enough energy to continue in the back without being too violent. Definitely a great option for later in the block or, in my case, second shift league.

Wrecker drilled for Senior LH Stroker. 3 inch pin below ring finger, w/ CG out 1 inch W/ X-hole. Sp.14 mph...I had the Wrecker drilled March 4th before league that night. With 10 mins. warm up, shot 258-258-290-806 out of the box. This house is a little dryer than some, so I had to stand 12 boards right of center & keep hand behind ball, going 12 to 5 with the ball getting down lane with smooth arc to pocket & 10 in the pit..only 2- 7 pins. 3 nights later...diff. house & league w/wider oil pattern, I moved back left 6 boards & 10 to 5 for 300-257-243-800...1st back to back 8's for this 75 yr. old LH Stroker..Its hard to believe a ball in this price range can hit so hard & take out the corners...but, than again its a RG...Larry Hoffman, RG Advisory Staff.

I bought a Wrecker and had it drilled up. I threw a couple games of practice before league that night and didnt like the way it was reacting. I was actually going to bring it back to tame it down some on the backend. However i began to throw it in practice and liked the way it was reacting surprisingly. I threw it all night and threw a 231 230 and finished up with a 300. I couldn't believe that it actually happened.

Ball specs – 15 lbs 1 oz, 3.17 top weight, 3.25 -inch pin.
The Wrecker, which is a polished hybrid, was drilled using the dual angle method. The layout is a 4 ½ inch pin, 55-degree drill angle and a 70-degree VAL angle. An x-hole was needed and was placed at the P2.5 location. Using Storm’s layout terminology the layout would be 4 1/2 by 4 1/2 with a 4 1/8 inch pin buffer. The cover was initially left OOB which is 1500 polished.
Let’s start by saying the Wrecker is a great looking ball with a dark blue and white pearl color scheme. The Wrecker was thrown on a fresh 41 foot, 24 micro liter house shot. The Wrecker was super clean through the fronts and when it saw the friction on the backend it hooked quick and a lot. I feel the backend reaction is stronger than the Shatter. The Wrecker was just too strong down lane for this house pattern and I had to put it away. After league I hit it with a 4000 abralon pad by hand and tried it again. This did smooth the reaction some but it was still very clean up front and strong down lane.
If you’re looking for a skid/snap reaction or need some help on the back end of the lane on medium conditions, the new HP2 Wrecker will fit the bill.

Ball Speed: 16-17mph
Ball Weight: 15lbs
PAP: 5 left 7/16 up
Degrees of Tilt: 17
Layout: 4 ½ x 6 ½ x 4
The Wrecker is by far my favorite hybrid medium to dry lane ball right now. The pin is below my ring finger and cg a little right of my midline which would be on the negative side. I get a roll that I have needed on drier lane condition for a while now. I get more of a “hook stop” look so the ball does not drive too hard through the pocket but enough to get all 10 pin down. I can see why it is called the Wrecker because the ball hits like a TANK! I have never had a medium to dry lane ball ever hit like this before! People during league were wondering what ball that was because of the great color scheme of blue and white pearl plus the way the ball was hitting.
Right now the only condition I use the Wrecker on is a fresh night of league and I am to use the Wrecker potentially all 3 games and just move my feet and target. I have compared the Wrecker with its big brother Shatter and the Wrecker I can stand 5-6 boards right and give it more room compared to the shatter where I can stand a little straighter with it being a pearl and has a more down and in reaction if the Wrecker is hooking too much.
Overall this ball is awesome and for anyone who is starting to get back into bowling or needs a league ball this ball is great!

Three different balls for 806
Date: 1.25.2013 Bowler: Rickie Banister Location: Vandenburg AFB, California Pro Shop:
Wrecker#1: Layout: 45 x 3 3/8 x 50 box condition
Tested on: Earl Anthony pattern, 40ft HPL THS and 41ft THS on ½ HPL and ½ HPL.
This ball tested great on all patterns and I used it in a recent tournament to see how the ball would react to carry down. I followed 3 other left handers. It worked well on the sport pattern for the first 6 games, and after that it started to go a little too long before it would make any kind of mood which would be expected. The hitting power of this car was simply amazing. This ball hit like a freight train with 100 train cars attached. I was able to use it in league without many adjustments with my feet and my target
Review #2 - Wrecker
Date: 1.8.2013 Bowler: Roto Grip Rick Mitchell Location: York, Pennsylvania Pro Shop: Bowlers Supply
Wrecker #2: Layout: 60 x 4 x 70 2000ab
Tested on: Tested on: 40ft HPL THS and 41ft THS on ½ HPL and ½ HPL.
Tested this ball hoping to find a true roller ball for when I need to get inside and not a ton of hook. With the layout and the 2000ab, this ball was just what I was looking for. Super roll producer and very calm and tender in the back end, very easy when working a true inside shot or playing 5th or 6th arrow and allowing the ball to stay inside of the track area. It also worked well if I stood on 12 and looked 7-8 on the THS on both lane surfaces with making slight change in my release and make it do a little end over end voodoo roll.
Staff review - WRECKER
Date: 12.27.2012 Bowler: Mike Johnston Location: Hebron, Kentucky Pro Shop: Hitts Pro Shop
I tested my Wrecker on my 39-foot house shot. The 1500 polished Hybrid reactive finish worked well for this condition. I pushed the ball to the dry area to gain some friction.
My Disturbed is drilled with the pin above the fingers with the CG in the palm. I wanted to have a ball that would compliment my Shooting Star and have a nice skid flip reaction. This ball produced about 3-5 inches of flare. The ball skidded nicely through the heads as I played just inside the oil line skidding out to the dryer boards. Once the ball encountered some friction, it revved up nicely and made a pronounced move to the pocket. As with all Roto Grip balls, it drove through the pin deck.
The Wrecker has a very predictable reaction, and with the 2.55 RG and .042 differential makes it a great addition for the lower rev medium speed league player who needs the extra length from the polished cover when the lanes begin to breakdown.
What I enjoyed the most about this ball is the late breaking skid flip reaction. It produced a nice dramatic hook to the pocket and devastated the pins. What a fun ball to throw.
The Wrecker is a nice go to ball for the league bowler and is good compliment to the Shatter or the Shooting Star. This ball will make a nice addition to anyone’s arsenal.
