Carolyn started bowling at age 6 in Linden, New Jersey and progressed through the bowling ranks where she eventually was a collegiate stand-out at West Texas A&M University. Caroyln is a USBC Hall of Fame Inductee (2008).
From there her bowling career continued to grow as she turned pro joining the PWBA Tour. Later down the line, she married PBA Hall of Famer Del Ballard and the nickname “CDB” was born.
Carolyn and Del have one daughter, Alyssa, who keeps them on their toes. Most recently, CDB was appointed the Director of Coaching Certification by the USBC and continues to serve on the USBC Board of Directors. She is also the High School Spokesperson for Dexter Shoes.
Carolyn Dorin-Ballard is the first-ever female to bowl a 300 game in PBA competition. Named Bowlers Journal Female Bowler of the Decade in 2000.
